Continuing with Susannah Conway's August Break, posting a photograph every day in August, aided by Susannah's list of prompts.
There was a similar prompt in last year's August Break. The contents of my bag have hardly changed since last year, I still have the same purse, make up bag, even the same notebook (now very shabby) so this year I am sharing the contents of a different bag.
This bag contains the fabrics I chose last week at my quilting class. Everyone in the 'Beginners' class is making the same thing; a quilted bag. Whilst making the bag, I am learning how to use a rotary cutter and rotary ruler, how to sandwich the fabrics together, and how to use a walking foot on the sewing machine. All very interesting and helpful, and once I have mastered these rudimentary skills, the world will, I hope, be my (quilted) oyster. (The 'stags' fabric will be the outside of the bag, the 'tiny hearts' will be the lining.)
